7.1The repair press assembly shall be supplied in accordance with drawings VB13704-10003 REV C 1-4 complete including the following:
•Steam heated platens.
i.2 x PT-100 Jumo RTD temperature sensors with an accuracy of +/-1˚C on both platens. 4 Sensors in all.
ii.Supply steam to press will be Saturated Steam at 800 kPa.
iii.Platens to heat up from 20˚C (ambient) to 155˚C in a minimum time of 20 minutes.
iv.Platen temperature control - maximum cycle magnitude at 155˚C to be +/-1˚.
•Top and Bottom Platen (2.7m wide by 2.4m length) that has capability of subjecting a maximum of 500psi specific pressure at production of 2.5m wide x 2.4 m long rubber belt.
i.Minimum of 4-off hydraulic cylinder and 2-off kicker cylinder acting on platen.
ii.Platen opening and closing speed to be greater than 10mm/sec and less than 20mm/sec.
iii.Framework to withstand maximum press pressure.
iv.Digital pressure controller. Pressure able to be adjusted via press operator.
v.Minimum distance between platens when fully open to be 400mm
vi.Maximum Temperature variation over platen +/- 2 C
vii.Flatness variation of platen not to exceed 0.1mm. To be verified by lead test conducted by Veyance Engineer.
viii.PLC to be used with Ethernet port and 6 spare digital inputs.
ix.Machine control shall be configured such that the machine can be operated and process parameters monitored from one master control panel. Emergency stop button to be located on this panel.
x.Hydraulic power and control unit (power pack) shall be provided.
xi.Brandenburger S4000 insulation to be used (see attached).
xii.Chesterton seals to be used with all hydraulic rams (see attached).
xiii.Press body is to be painted RAL ……, Bolsters and platen edges to be painted 9006 Silver
xiv.Pneumatic diaphragm steam control valve to be supplied. Either Spirax Sarco or Fisher brand.
xv.Steam condensate trap shall be Spirax Sarco.
•120 diameter lift rollers shall be supplied both sides of the press with hydraulic lift cylinders which shall automatically raise when the winder motors are engaged to lift the belt off the hot platen when the belt travels through the press. Limit switches sense the roll position interlocked with the winder drives. The rollers automatically lower when the press is closed. Ref drawing VB13704-10003 REV C sheet 2
•Belt guide roller assembly shall be supplied on the discharge side of the press generally in accordance with drawing VB 1374-10003 REV C sheet 3.
•Edge iron mechanism assembly shall be supplied for the operator to set the cavity width for belt edge cures. The edge irons are manually set however close automatically when the press is approximately 75 mm from closed. The press close is stoped until a limit switch is trip to identify that the edge irons are closed. The operator will them press close again to complete the press close cycle. Ref drawing VB1374-10003 REV C sheet 4.
•Maintenance access platform & reel diameter sensor support shall be provided generally in accordance with the above drawings.
